The bed, named NEXO, has a high maximum safe load capacity (SWL 280 kg), durability and safety, which is confirmed by external tests and customer feedback from more than 100 countries. The pSilver™ technology used in the plastic parts and paint guarantees bacteriological protection at all stages of use. The side rails located along the entire length of the bed protect the patient from falling, and the fixed distance between the rails prevents fingers or hands from getting trapped. The central wheel lock ensures the bed’s stable position in the room. The headboard can be quickly removed to provide additional CPR support under the patient during resuscitation.

Central Panel
The central panel offers multiple positions that the bed automatically adjusts to when a dedicated button is pressed and held. The Famed NEXO can be adjusted to rescue and examination positions, Fowler position, cardiology chair position and two vascular positions. The CPR function can be activated electrically via the panel. Some functions of the hand-held remote control or patient panel can be disabled by the staff via the central panel. This prevents accidental changes in the bed position and the patient from being placed in a position that is not appropriate for their condition.
The central control panel allows you to activate the examination position, rescue position, Fowler position, cardiology chair position, CPR and two vascular positions with the push of a button using pre-programmed functions. In addition, there are three VEM (Very Early Mobilization) settings, an activation button, latches, a mains disconnection indicator, and a battery status indicator.
Patient Control Panel
The control panels on the inside of the side rails allow patients to adjust the bed position to their own needs. Patients can also use the nurse call system and turn on the under-bed lighting.
Staff Control Panel
The panels on the outside of the side rails allow medical staff to adjust the bed position, including longitudinal tilt and rescue
position.
VEM mobilization button
The early mobilization panel located on the outside of the side rails allows the patient to control the height of the bed. The patient can lean on the side rails and at the same time adjust the height of the bed to a position that helps him get out of bed.
Remote control
Allows you to adjust the most important bed positions and lock the bed functions with a combination of buttons.
Foot control
Allows you to adjust the height and work with the patient at the same time, as well as provide assistance when changing the bed position. It also allows you to adjust the bed to the Anti-Trendelenburg and examination positions.

Gas springs ensure quiet and smooth lowering. The constant distance between the elements guarantees comfortable and safe use, preventing accidental pinching of fingers. The movement can be initiated with one hand, while the other hand can be used to assist the patient.
The headrest can also be used as a CPR support
The unique design of the SoftDropPlus™ side rails provides an unprecedented amount of space for resuscitation operations or the placement of mattresses. In addition, the quickly removable, stable headrest can be used as additional support under the patient during CPR operations.
The CPR arms are easily accessible from both sides of the bed.
There are comfortable, easily visible arms on both sides of the bed, regardless of the position of the side rails throughout the entire range of motion of the backrest. The proximity to the patient allows you to check their condition in a life-threatening situation when the backrest is lowered.
Use the best reverse Trendelenburg angle on the market
A lockable footrest, 18.5° tilt angle and extended large diameter struts allow the bed to be moved safely and to perform exercises and standing therapy elements. The tilt angles also help to move the patient on the mattress.
Controls with activation systems
Reduce the risk of accidental changes in the patient or staff position (during washing or treatment). The control panels can only be activated by pressing the green activation button.
Central wheel lock
The levers on both sides of the bed allow for easy and quick fixation of the bed – they can also be operated from the front. The clear color coding of the lever position and acoustic indication make it easy to recognize the brake position.
DISINFECTION
Bacteriostatic pSilver™ technology
The plastic elements contain silver nanoparticles – this guarantees lifelong protection and less frequent reproduction of viruses and bacteria. We also use a similar antibacterial additive in the lacquer powder. Famed Żywiec has been offering and refining this technology for several years.
Smart solution: panels filling the mattress platform
Reducing the number of elements that need to be disassembled for cleaning, as well as reducing the number and size of gaps between HPL elements, means reducing cleaning and disinfection time. The mattress platform covers 91% of the surface, protecting the actuators and the pantograph frame from dirt.
Specially designed for automatic washing
The version for disinfection stations not only meets the IPX6 standard, but also uses a completely new steel protection technology and has undergone hundreds of hours of laboratory and washing chamber testing.
Separate button – washing position
With the push of a button, all parts of the bed and the entire bed are placed in a special position suitable for washing in the BDS. Thanks to this, the bed cannot be damaged and the drying process takes place smoothly.
Tested resistance to disinfectants
The increasingly aggressive fight against bacteria means continuous development of disinfectants. The NEXO Light has electric controls, which makes the bed easier to operate – for both the patient and the staff (with a wired remote control). The bed has comfortable, individually lockable, large wheels (150 mm). Staff can benefit from the best reverse Trendelenburg tilt on the market, an easy-to-disinfect mattress platform and pSilver™ antibacterial technology.
The NEXO Fortis is a version specifically designed for psychiatric wards. It increases patient and staff safety with features such as a lockable control panel shelf, detachable power cord and remote control, as well as fixed head/foot supports and mattress platform covers. The central control panel supports early patient mobilization according to VEM (Very Early Mobilization) protocols. Durable steel side rails ensure structural stability, while electrical cables run through a special cable channel under the mattress platform.
The NEXO Comfort also introduces the philosophy of Very Early Mobilization (VEM) to intensive care units and residential units, thanks to a lockable board and a panel with special buttons (also used for rehabilitation). Additional comfort is provided by a number of special positions on the central panel and a central wheel lock. The NEXO Comfort also adapts to taller patients thanks to the extension of the mattress platform. The appearance of the bed is enhanced by colorful graphics on the side rails and boards. Optional footrests and an alarm system are also available.
The NEXO Premium, with controls on the side of the bed (externally – for staff, internally – 3D, contrasting buttons for the visually impaired), allows for full use of the bed’s functions in the very early mobilization approach. The NEXO Premium is equipped with special patient mobilization panels (VEM).
